Pitch for Detroit 2012!
This years tournament was another huge success! The day kicked off with PAWS from the Detroit Tigers throwing out the first pitch, and ended with the defending Co-ed and Men’s teams winning again! In between we had 35 games, 10 co-ed and 8 men’s teams, over 300 players and an additional 300+ spectators! There was a Slip & Slide, tons of food (thanks Jerusalem Pizza!) and plenty to drink (Fuze, Powerade and Smartwater!). Nick Fairley Kickball Tournament 2012
ComePlayDetroit and H.Y.P.E. Athletics co-hosted the First Annual Nick Fairley Community Kickball Tournament! Teams were made up of 7-12 year olds, each team being captained by one Detroit Lions Player. The captains were: Nick Fairley, Cliff Avril, Sammie Hill and Ricardo Silva, with Team Fairley winning it all against Team Hill in the championsip!

IT’S THE MOST WONDERFUL TIME OF THE YEAR! As ComePlayDetroit & CommunityNEXT brought you a Festivus to remember at Fifth Avenue in Royal Oak!
Due to a recent change in the law in the state of Michigan, this was the second year that it was legal for bars to be open and for alcohol to be served on Christmas! We decided to host Festivus For the Rest Of Us, our annual party on Christmas Night! With over 600 guests, we continue to grow this event and provide the community with an alternative to Chinese and Movies.
